BEWARE - BIG HEADACHE!!!
EDIT:
As of writing today: April 29, 2014. I have received a note saying that this post was taken down due to a DMCA complaint i.e. a copyright infringement. For crying out loud, I have written this based on my experience and I have all the email conversations from Indochina Strings saved as proof that this is what happened. INDOCHINA STRINGS, get your act together! If you do not want a bad review then offer better service!!!
I bought 4 vouchers from Metrodeal to go to Grande Island Resort Subic courtesy of Indochina Strings. I was really excited that time since I have not visited Subic for several years alrready and thought it was a great to spend a night in Grande Island.
It costed me PHP1250 for each Metrodeal voucher. The travel agency Indochina Strings staff is simply incompetent. I do not want to use such a word but I cannot find a better way of saying it.
I followed Indochina's rules of booking. I went to the website, put on the Metrodeal voucher numbers and waited for a reply. After one day, I received a reply asking when I bought the voucher from Metrodeal. I replied and gave the exact date. I believe it was wrong of me to assume that if Indochina will be given the Metrodeal voucher number they will know all the data associated to it. It seems that it is not the case or perhaps Indochina's employee is just too lazy to look it up.
Anyway, Jane of Indochina replied to me and said to make another email and send it to a different email address because it is confusing for them. They said that I sent an email for Grande Island Low Season vouchers. I did this as I just want it to be over. I made the email, sent it to Indochina Strings and waited for a reply. I thought that since they asked me to send it to a DIFFERENT email address, that I will be assisted by somebody else. Surprise again! No, it's same ole Jane who replied to me and said that they have to contact the Grande Island Resort staff first to book it for the date I requested. It was March back then and I was booking for April. After two more follow up phone calls and two emails, Jane of Indochina Strings told me that the date I requested is not available because I booked a peak season date. Err... So in the end, I did the right thing when I sent the booking on the first email that I sent! I had to think of another date to use my Metrodeal vouchers! Indochina Strings is just horrible! I was already thinking that I got scammed by Metrodeal when I bought the Grande Island voucher.
Several weeks more passed and I still did not receive an email from Indochina Strings that my Grande Island vacation is confirmed. In the end, I called Grande Island Resort and informed them of my situation. I was even a little mad at them because Indochina Strings girl Jane said in the email that the Grande Island has not confirmed my Metrodeal voucher yet so they cannot send me a confirmation. Another surprise! The girl I spoke to in the reservations of Grande Island had no idea. She said that they reply immediately to any booking. They have not received any email from Indochina Strings. I asked if the date I requested is available and they said yes! I told her to reserve that for me and I will just inform Indochina about it. I also asked her to inform Indochina about it. I sent another email telling Jane that I already did her job and booked the reservation myself and that they only have confirm it on their side.
The next day, I FINALLY received a confirmation of my Grande Island tour from Indochina Strings.
I will just make another post how's the Grande Island Resort.

IPL + Underarm Whitening by Pan Pacific Aesthetic Review
After hearing from my office colleague that IPL hair removal is effective, I have decided to try it for myself. I bought three vouchers of IPL underarm hair removal plus whitening treatment in TCAT and... I am glad I did.
Pan Pacific Aesthetic is located in Medical Plaza Ortigas. It is just at the back of Megamall, and very near Ridgemont Hotel.
I called Pan Pacific first to have my first IPL treatment scheduled. After having problems with Skin Central and Hair to Go Salon of not having my phone calls answered, I was gladly surprised that I did not even receive a busy tone! The reservation went smoothly. The girl who answered even gave out Pan Pacific Aesthetic's office hours.
The IPL treatment was fast enough. They gave 5 shots for each underarm and it only took like 5mins max. With the whitening treatment, it's a total of 30 mins. They spread a cream on my underarms and waited for 15mins to remove it. Make sure to give at least 45mins for your IPL appointment just in case you have other plans afterwards. Also, before I forget, they also suggested not to wash your underarm for that day.
The Pan Pacific Aesthetic staff is awesome. I have no complaints whatsoever that I could think of with regards to their service.
First, I thought that the IPL treatment was not effective at all. The underarm hair didn't fall off. My friend told me that on the other salon she went to, they gave her 7 shots for each underarm. However, when I arrived home I noticed that some of the hair did fall off! It was indeed effective.
Now, I am done with my third IPL treatment with Pan Pacific and I am searching for similar deals! IPL treatment does not really make the hair permanently gone but it does reduce the hair growth up to the point that it is nearly invisible.
5 out 5 for this.

Spanish Peel Treatment with Whitening Mask at Skin Central - Ebay Kuponan voucher

I bought a Spanish Peel Treatment with Whitening Mask (Face or Underarm) at Skin Central voucher in Ebay Kuponan. It costed me PHP299 each.
Wrong move. I bought three of the treatment thinking that it would be nice to have it done once a month. Wrong decision.
Like most treatments, you would have to first call. That is what I did. I called Skin Central several times a day for like almost a week. Nobody answers the phone. Since it was near my office, I dropped by to personally make the reservation in St. Francis Square. That worked.
The treatment day came... and it was disappointing. I arrived 5 minutes before the treatment. I was told to wait and to sit down in their plushy chairs. After an hour of reading old and torn magazines, I still wasn't called. Still being nice, I told the woman in the counter that I will just come back to have my lunch. My schedule was at 11 and I was starving with the wait so it kinda ruined my schedule.
I came back, and then the woman in the counter smiled at me and said I should be next soon. Now, what got me irritated was that there was this woman with a toy dog in a bag, all dressed up, doing short talk with the employees, waiting for her turn, too. I arrived approximately 30 mins earlier than she did yet they assisted her first. She left after her treatment, I was still there waiting for my turn. I thought at that time that I should have come there wearing a suit instead of my comfy tank top and jeans.
Finally, my turn came. The employees sounded like they were even pointing at each other as to who is going to do the treatment. I started to wonder that I may look like a penniless person to them or something. The Spanish peel treatment was awful. It hurt like hell. It felt like my skin was burning but at that time, I thought that this may be okay and would be better in a minute since the girl was dabbing like a wet cloth in my face.
Three days later after the said treatment, my skin was still peeling. It was dry for a whole week. I wished I filed a vacation leave because it looked horrendous that skin was peeling away from my skin as if I was sick.In the end, I did not use my other two vouchers from eBay Kuponan. PHP598 gone to waste.

Hair To Go Salon St. Francis Hair Rebond and Keratin
Posted by
La Vie
I bought my Hair to Go Salon's Hair Rebond + Keratin Treatment at Metrodeal. It costed me PHP890. The salon is located in St. Francis Ortigas, very accessible to people who live in Pasig, Rizal, and areas with direct access to Edsa. It is just behind SM Megamall.
Before claiming the voucher, I had to call their number but it was just a big pain in the neck. No one picks up the bloody phone! I tried this several times for two days. I think that is much proof. Finally, I decided to drop by their salon to make the reservation.
Since their log book is totally full for two months, I had to settle for a date which was not really the date I have planned for... but what the heck! I already paid for it, I might as well use it even if I have to wait for 2 months just to have my hair done. :S
The service was surprisingly... excellent! I went there with my boyfriend to avail of the same treatments. We arrived 15mins before the scheduled time so we were asked to wait. Five minutes before the schedule, we sat down to have our hair done.
There were three customers; me, my boyfriend, and another woman. There were only three seats and like 5 employees to assist us. It was cramped. The place is really narrow and small, your neighborhood parlor may possibly be bigger.
Anyway, the movements of the employees are very systematic, and I like it. As I sat down to have my hair washed, another is already preparing the seat for me to have my rebond treatment, cleaning it up with the previous customers' hair. After the wash, another girl started combing my hair, put on the treatment, etc. I am not really sure what magic they were doing. After rinsing the rebond treatment, a different guy gave me my hair cut. He was very friendly but not to the point of being noisy.
The finished product i.e. my hair was wonderful. It was my first time to have my hair rebonded. I used to have soft wavy hair (but wanted to try something different). What is really amazing is my boyfriend's hair. I mean, he used to have this wiry slightly curly hair which was very unruly. After some effort from the gay who assisted him, it was flat shiny straight!
I give Hair to Go Salon a 3 out of 5. Place is cramped, reservation is a hassle, service is wonderful.
